Colonel Robert P. Kudwa USMC (Ret)
Bob Kudwa is a 38-year veteran pilot with wide-ranging airline and military experience. He serves as an aviation specialist for the consulting firm Kudwa & Associates, LLC. He served on active duty in the Marine Corps from 1968 until 1974 flying F-4s, then entered the Reserves. He joined American Airlines in October 1976, based at airports in New York, Boston and Chicago in the ensuing years. In 1995, he became a chief pilot based in Chicago, before leaving to manage flight training and standards at American's Flight Academy in Fort Worth. Bob served as the vice president, flight and director of operations from 1999 until his retirement in 2003. Bob's 30 years in the Marine Corps and Reserve were primarily spent as a fighter pilot. Returning to the infantry with 4th Marine Division in 1992, he participated as a reservist until his retirement as a colonel in 1998. He lives in York, PA, with his wife, Nancy. They have two daughters, Amy and Kelly.
